Edmond, OK asked in Criminal Law for Oklahoma

Q: My son got arrested for a warrant, can they transfer him without making sure they got the right person?

My son was arrested for a warrant for Arizona County, but he has never been to Arizona, we can prove that he was working, bought a car and obtained car insurance at the time he was suppose to be incarcerated and they can even go on Facebook, I posted a picture of what he gave me for mothers day and he posted a comment on that post, the person who set in jail under his name for 34 days, even gave them a false name the first time... so shouldn't they do more research to make sure they have the right person? They have transferred him from Oklahoma county to Yavapai Arizona and I don't know what to do.

A: Your son needs a criminal defense attorney on his side. Which state has him? He needs an attorney from where the charges are. Get one.

A: You should also get together a list of people, names and addresses, who were with him during the times that the crime was committed. They are alibi witnesses.
