Q: Are things left in home after closing legally mine?
I closed on my home 3 months ago. Prior owners left a generator here. I contacted them the same day and I've contacted them numerous times since to retrieve it. How long am I obligated to hold onto it for them? They keep telling me they will pick it up and never follow through. Is it considered mine at this point?
A: After one month, if they have not come back to claim it, especially after you gave them repeated notice, it is probably safe to conclude that it is yours. Good luck.
