Kingston, OK asked in Criminal Law for Oklahoma

Q: Can I press charges on a 10 year old boy for stabbing me?

My 10 yr old step son stabbed me in my forearm with a knife with the intentions in killing me, when he was 9 he tried molesting 3 of our other children, he has been in mental hospital and was released March 2015 for failure to comply . He also says now he is going to kill our children and myself, when he stabbed me I called police but nothing was done because they cldnt find a hospital to take him so he was sent back home, they said I cld not press charges because he was a child but this big 5 ft 3 in child is going to kill us! He is dangerous and his maternal grandparents both are mentally ill, his bio mom and her boyfriend friend both went to jail for child abuse that is how we gained custody 3 yrs ago. He has been in couseling and nothing helps ! What can we do.!! We are desperate, for the safety of our other children and our own protection please , what do we do.

A: Have a full discussion with a local attorney about this. The local attorney might be able to point you in the right direction. Keep reporting all crimes.
