Savannah, GA asked in Criminal Law for Georgia

Q: What is the penalty for falsifying a death certificate in the state of Georgia?

My stepbrother deliberately informed the funeral home that his father was not married to my mother who has Alzheimers. He has been trying since they got married to have them get a divorce and yet his father didn't do that. He would go around saying hey dad I will drive you to the divorce attorney and would say other things that would pressure him. It's not like my stepbrother was around to take care of him until the end. I don't know if he has done anything illegal since his death but I know that he coaxed his father who had dementia to change over everything to his name without regard to anyone else. What are the penalties for falsifying facts on the death certificate?
