Q: I just recently was charged with criminal threatening and looking at 3-7 years in jail because my aunt accused me of
threatening to kill her with a knife I never had. I had court yesterday and got it dropped to a class a misdemeanor and 12 months on good behavior and no contact with my aunt. The problem is I had the chance to take it to trial and see what my odds where there and I misunderstood that and plead guilty when I'm not guilty. I want to fight this and I want her to get sued for my lawyer fees and emotional distress. She steals from my room tells me to go kill myself & threatens to kick my ass. I don't know what to do. It's my house but I have to leave the room if she decides to enter the house and I have to go to my bedroom until she leaves which isn't fair because I've lived here since I was a baby. I don't know what I can do or how I can do it but I want to do something because I know I'm innocent and I have witnesses who where there that know I'm innocent too. Please help.
A: You have to hire a private criminal defense attorney for this.
