Chino Hills, CA asked in Divorce and Family Law for California

Q: Can I pray the Court to revisit the issue of child support to either decrease or terminate?

In our divorce records, the Court decree stated that my ex-spouse must make every effort to improve her living standard to justify continuity or termination of alimony. However, I cannot see her working towards achieving this goal. What should I do next? I am worried for my daughter that she does not take after her mother.

A: Are you concerned about child support or spousal support? If your ex isn't trying to become self-sufficient, you can ask the judge for something called a Gavron Warning and she'd have to provide proof of her seeking employment.
