Q: My girlfriend Pushed a dresser into blowing my ACL. Charged with DV now going to trial.

She was threatening people the whole time. Arguing and yelling. As i started down the stairs with the dresser she shoved it into me knocking me down the stairs tearing my ACL. She was arrested and booked with DV. Now she pled not guilty and its going to trial. When she was released she texted i let her know my ACL was torn and said she was sorry.What are the chances she's convicted

A: That depends on a number of things. Were there witnesses other than you who will testify? (It sounds like there were witnesses) Will you show up to testify? She certainly could be convicted. She should be working with an attorney. Also, she probably is not allowed to have any contact with you right now and shouldn't be texting you. Violating a no contact order is a separate crime with which she could be charged.
