Q: If i move out early, but have no lease just month to month, am I entitled payment for the days I won't be there

A: Probably not, but a lot of these kinds of details are subject to negotiation. For example, if you clean the place up (e.g. get the carpets shampooed) so your landlord doesn't have to do it, then your landlord might reciprocate by refunding a set amount per day.

In general, on a month to month, you pay through the end of the current month if you give your notice at the beginning of the month. Most tenants do it this way. If you give notice mid-month, I believe you have to pay through the end of the following month, but again, this is subject to negotiation.

If your landlord is like most, he or she just cares about renting the place out again as quickly as possible.
