Q: What to do when employer does not pay for commute from job site to office in company vehicle?

I work for a company that does not pay for driving/riding in a company vehicle at the end of the day, from the job site to the office. I am fairly certain this is illegal but I do not want to confront my employer. Is there a way to enforce this ? As in report the company to some entity that handles unfair treatment of employees and not have my name associated with it?

Edit: thought I put what state but I guess it didn't show I'm in NC. Also you didn't mention what other information is nessecary to determine whether my company is acting unlawfully. I am driving a company vehicle from a job site, to the main office at the end of the day.

A: You have not provided all of the information necessary to determine whether the company is acting unlawfully. It's also not clear what jurisdiction you are in. Every state has a labor department (their names vary widely) that enforces state wage and hour laws. Many of them will have an office that evaluates whether individuals have a good claim and helps those individuals bring a claim for violation of wage and hour laws. The United States Department of Labor also has a wage and hour bureau that enforces federal age and hour laws. The agencies I have mentioned are there to assist individuals who believe they are being subject to wage and hour violations.
