East Hampton, NY asked in Medical Malpractice for New York

Q: Mom had a colonoscopy in 2008 . She came out with AFIb. We spoke to the hospitals patient advocate who said we should

look into the amount of anesthesia given to her. She was not given medication by her cardiologist for AFib (even thought he noted her heart had changed) & had a stroke in 2012. She now has stroke related dementia (she wanted to pursue legal action years ago). This took place when she lived in Ocala, Florida. Is it too late to take action ?

A: Way late. She knew there was a problem. Didn't get around to it in time. I don't see a way out.
