Q: Am i responsible for a signed certified letter if it was sent to me and I didn't sign for it?
We were told a certified letter was sent to us in February that we "signed for" and neither one of us my husband or my self ever signed for this letter. Are we liable for the contents of the letter if we never signed for it or never received it?
A: It depends on what the letter was about and what you mean by "responsible for" or "liable for". Ask for a copy of the letter and the post office form which supposedly has the signature of one of you.
