Maineville, OH asked in Constitutional Law for Ohio

Q: How do I begin the process of receiving a judicial bypass for abortion?

I am a minor who has fallen pregnant. I have two abusive parents, I work the majority of the week and I attend high school. I am looking forward to college and it isn't safe nor reasonable or responsible for me to carry a child at this age. I want an abortion, but for obvious reasons, fear for my safety and will not be able to tell my parents. I would like information on how to start the process of contacting a county court or judge so that I may acquire a confidential judicial bypass. The fetus is creating physical harm to my body in many ways, which I will spare the gruesome details of.

A: For financial reasons, very few people hire an attorney for this, so I have no experience with it. My understanding; however, is that the clinics and providers such as Planned Parenthood have the information you need to obtain a confidential hearing with a judge.
