In return I recieved a notice of rent increase, the 2nd increase this year. I feel the management co. Is discriminating and retaliating. Could this be legal?
A: Rent increases are legal so long as the landlord gives proper notice. A 30 day notice is required for an increase of less than 10%, and a 60 day notice is required for a 10% increase or more.
