Q: The plaintiff states that she is legal owner when she filed unlawful detainer, but she isnt. We hat happens?
Found out that she is not legal owner, but judge is allowing her to file for it. Living at property with no water, she got it turned off. I'm confused as to how this can hapoen
A: Whether or not the plaintiff is the owner of the property in an unlawful detainer action is irrelevant. The plaintiff need only show that there was a landlord-tenant relationship with the defendant.
