A: You hire an attorney to get is dismissed, using the legal process to help increase the chances that it will not be re-issued as a new case against you.

However, historically, in LA County, some people ignore red light camera tickets because consequences are relatively less significant that a ticket where the driver signed a promise to appear in court. I am not advising to ignore the ticket, just saying some people do. But the ticket that your dad has can get dismissed, but he nor you want to handle that as it can increase the chances of a case being filed against you.
