Asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Ohio

Q: Can I move out of state? I lost custody of two kids about 4years ago. I have supervised visits. What are my legal rights

I live in Ohio and I wanted to move out for a job opportunity and a home being bought within a year. I lost temporary custody of two children about 4 years ago. I see one every other weekend and the other the father won't let me see. what are my legal rights to move out of Ohio? Do I have to have court approval to move out of Ohio?

A: You can move, but you will have to bear the added expense if you want to keep your visitation and of course, if you owe child support you must continue paying it.
