Pasadena, CA asked in Divorce, Family Law and Child Custody for California

Q: If my ex goes on a trip on days she should be watching our son,do those days default to me?She said she can find someone

Going through a divorce and custody arrangements for our 16 year old son. Once we get our days set up, what happens if she goes on a business trip for a week where her days fall on? Do those days default to me? I would prefer that, but she said that she could find someone to watch our son while she is gone. I'm more than capable on those days to watch him however. What is the law on this?

A: The custody orders should address this, especially if you bring up these details in court and ask for a judgment reflecting this. More details are necessary to provide a professional analysis of your issue. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney. You can read more about me, my credentials, awards, honors, testimonials, and media appearances/ publications on my law practice website.
