Q: I'm 56, disabled and on full disability, receiving S.S.I. If I was to move to Australia, would I still receive my S.S.?
I also have medicare and a secondary insurance which pays for my medical supplies. If I move to Australia, will I loose my coverage and medical supplies?
A: The big question is out in Oz will they accept medicare as payment? You won't get SSI, that's for sure. Generally you can move and get your social security--many retired to Poland for example and collected. But SSI doesn't cross borders
