Asked in Medical Malpractice

Q: Hello. Just a general question.

I had a failed abortion. In many weeks I have been leaking my amniotic fluid because my sac has a hole that's why she was delivered 6 months early. She had both hips dislocated. At 6 months, she went on a surgery and after a year the left hip is still not corrected. she needed another surgery. We are having an ongoing case against the clinic and I was wondering if this case is strong enough to get us compensated. Not only the damages done to the baby but emotional damages as well.

A: No one can say on an online question. If you have an attorney handling it it means that they are willing to risk the substantial investment of their time and money to look at the case. On emotional trauma less likely recovery as the law does not favor emotional distress claims. But for your own good get help to process this. You may want to look for therapists who provide EMDR therapy. All the best.
