Muncie, IN asked in Divorce and Family Law for Indiana

Q: How do I make a motion to change venue in Allen County IN? Where can I find the form?

My divorce took place in Allen County IN in 2009 since that time both my ex-husband and I have moved out of Allen county. We have an upcoming court date and since he now lives in Las Vegas NV he is allowed to have a phone conference for the court date. I would like to move the divorce case to my county of residence since he doesn't even have to make an appearance. The court date coming up is to discuss parenting time . I have tried to find the form and unable to find one for the State of IN. Is this a possibility to get it changed and if so how do I need to do so.

A: I do not believe you will find a form Motion to Change Venue on the State website. Contact your lawyer, express your desire to change venue, and he or she can take it from there.
