Q: my daughter is now 27 have been trying to get arrears somewhat caught up for along time GA. ordered him to pay 2,000 for

three months he paid once now Ga. is telling me the case is closed in 2009 yet after 2009 GA. told me case was still open now closed again whats up with Ga they told me I had to go where I live in Fl to reopen yet I don,t know in GA. where he lives yet I have his social security number my daughter and I deserve those arrears she is on financial aid to go to college he has not paid since she was 6 years old and that is another case number what is up I thought arrears never went away does anybody in GA. with child support no what their doing or did he con you too I should not need an attorney for arrears not my responsibility what about the child that went without I never kept him from her until this very day would not have been fair to her after all he will be her father

A: You write that " they [the Georgia child support agency, I take it] told me I had to go where I live in Fl to reopen ...". Contact the Florida Department of Revenue. Their website is here: https://childsupport.state.fl.us/Public/IntroductionRD.aspx

Perhaps they can talk to the Georgia agency and get answers.
