Bankruptcy in year 2000. I checked Credit Karma and cannot find anything on the bankruptcy but I did not check on my husband's reports. Do I have to disclose this information to them.??

A: If you filed the bankruptcy then yes, be honest. If you lie they will not only deny you when they find out, but is also a crime to lie on those forms; especially the HAMP that is the federal government. You should retain competent foreclosure defense counsel to assist you as even modification is not DIY. Many waste months and years of time trying to do it themselves chasing their tails for documents dealing with the banks before hiring an attorney; sometimes putting them much farther into foreclosure than it needed to get.
