Mineola, NY asked in Health Care Law and Medical Malpractice for New York

Q: What if I went to the hospital in the doctors refused to do the request that was made? I'm still in pain to this day!

On Monday I had went to my GYN because I felt as if my uterus falling out she did both ultrasound and she suggested I go to the ER to get a CT scan and a blood test because they would be able to give me the results on the same day. I explained what my GYN recommended to do, so I went there I got a pelvic exam and another ultrasound. During my time there was absolutely hectic. My doctor took what I said that my GYN recommended as a joke which hence why I had another ultrasound. But that's not all just getting the plastic needle in my arm was a little difficult even after the nurse put the needle and I forgot to connected to in this blood draining tube and dislodged it, you know the cap, with her mouth and stuck it in my arm. Then my Dr told me if I decide to give them a urine sample then that's up to me when they forgot to ask for urine sample after I had taking my ultrasound and already peed while waiting 20 minutes in ultrasound waiting to be picked up. I didn't pee all day.

A: Go back to the hospital. What you have is lame practice but not something you can sue about.
