Norwalk, OH asked in Family Law and Criminal Law for Ohio

Q: I need to know if my 20 year old boyfriend or I (3 months shy of being 18) can be charged..

If we both disappear for the 3 months remaining before my birthday, and we do not get caught, we are financially stable and using condoms to ensure we do not get pregnant. Can he get charged with kidnapping or i get charged with anything if we come back after my 18th birthday?

A: Possibly. Kidnapping. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Depends on whether you parents contact the police and how aggressive they are about prosecuting.

A: Possible charges for him: (1) contributing to the delinquency of a minor, (2) kidnapping, (3) interference with child custody.

Possible charges for you: (1) unruliness, (2) delinquency.

Turning 18 will not cause this stuff to no longer be an issue. One or both of you could still be charged.
