Ashburn, VA asked in Personal Injury for Washington

Q: I got medically sick after molded household stuff delivered to my home. What is the right compensation for me?

In Oct 2015, Amazon gave the contract to Graebel to relocate my household stuff from India to Seattle. After Packaging, while the stuff was in storage, Chennai-India got flood which damps my stuff and when it got delivered to me in March 2016 - it was molded. I got the basic cost of all the molded thing. Later When I complaint them for allergy reaction of the molds to my body then gave it Insurance company for the claim. This insurance company took 10 months to investigate and come up with $7500 compensation. The problem I am having now is: burning or itching eyes, eyesight got weak, itching or rashes in artificial heat or when I am in stores, my nose is blocked always, asthma attacks. I went through a nasal surgery in India which cured my allergy till march 2016. and now insurance company using it defense.

A: Suggest you contact a member of the state of Washington Trial Lawyers Assn--they give free consults. Generally, mold cases are difficult to prove.
