Q: Are federal law enforcement agents authorized by their employer to take doctor prescribed testosterone replacement ther?

A: You will have to review your employment contract. As a general rule, most employers do not object to employee use of prescribed medically necessary drugs (that do not impact job performance).

If the testosterone use is related to a gender identity issue, the answer get a little more complex. An argument can be made either way about employer approval, but the general trend is acceptance (esp. for federal or state employees). I am not aware of any recent changes to the general federal practices acceptance. The ADA and other laws generally protect government employees provided that employee performance is not significantly impacted (e.g. a quadriplegic can reasonably be excluded from jobs that require the full use of a person's body...).
