Q: Hi qmy name is Junius van Heerden, I have a question. I was admitted to a Goverment hoslital and what happend was,

When I was in hospital. I was surounded by a couple of nurses. The one nurse pricked me with a needle on my arm. And it wasn't a seeled needle. I suspect that she try to invective me with aids. My only problem is that it happened 2 years ago and I can't remember how she looked. I have never tested myself for Hiv but I'm going to get myself tested. What is the steps that I should take if I test positive? I do I stand a chance to get paid out. Thanks.

A: If you suspect you have AIDS for any reason get tested. There is no reason anyone would want to infect you. Your bigger problem is that under the Federal Tort Claims Act notice of the claim has to be given to the government, suit then has to be filed within set times. To be sure contact a member of the Trial Lawyers Assn in the state where it happened--they give fee consults. By the way, ask Justia to delete your name from the question.
