Buffalo, NY asked in Divorce for New York

Q: Hello,My dad just sent my mom divorce papers from after he abandoned her in Rome ny, very low income is there help

my father won a settlement from both his and my mom's employer.

so he moved her to Rome NY, where she did not know a soul. A little over a year ago he up and left her with nothing.

she lives off her social security and takes care of my mentally disabled sister who gets little help as well.

He just sent her divorce papers from Utah I believe that's where he resides.

Is there any help for her, hopefully... pro Bono.

my mom has worked hard her entire life putting up with my abusive father. Him leaving was the best thing, But she needs help.

is there an organization that will help her that anyone knows of a Charity, anything. Does she qualify for alimony also.
