West Springfield, MA asked in Criminal Law and Traffic Tickets for North Carolina

Q: What is likely outcome for 3 No operator's license convictions, unsafe lane change, prior suspension?

This person had their license reinstated in 2015 after it being suspended/revoked for habitual traffic offenses and criminal convictions/OUI. in 2016 she got into two incidents involving wreckless driving and several times pulled over for expired registration. She was arrested for failure to appear 3 times on those incidents.

She received a No Operator's license charge in January. This was continued to April. She received a 2nd and separate charge for NOL in February along with knowlingly providing fictitious registration/tags. She got that continued to May. She just received a 3rd NOL charge this past week and has the first hearing in April.

HOW is the person still on the road? What is the likely outcome for someone if they are found guilty of all charges?

Thank you.

A: Generally, a charge of No Operators license means you are likely eligible for a license - you just don't have one. So your friend should look into getting a license and a traffic attorney and basically stop breaking the law. As it stands, if your friend continues on the same path and is convicted straight up she will likely at some point end up permanently revoked and eventually in jail. Judges don't like it when they and / or DMV say don't drive and you keep doing it anyway.
