Q: What kind of info do I need to prove my claim?
I went to Urgent Care. The Dr. took me off work for 4 weeks off due to "work related stress disorder." My stress is caused by corporate not keeping me safe in my job, never sending assistance when I need it. Allowing my residents to threaten me and not doing anything about it (I write them up but I can never evict). I have walked in and seen dead bodies. I have had nightmares SO many times, smelling death. Sometimes not even nightmares. I just have overwhelming feelings of the smell of death. I am afraid of my job. The residents are mean and they always want to find a reason to take everything out on me. I am yelled at, threatened, etc almost on a daily basis. I am so afraid to go to work. I live where I work. My vehicles have been tampered with. Dents all over. Windshields broken on both vehicles. I have been stalked. I have been harassed. The Sheriff's Department here doesn't do anything about it. I eventually gave up on calling them. Dispatch is rude. I stopped calling.
A: You need to contact a local workers Compensation attorney and set up a meeting with him to address these issues right away. If you are having physical illness or consequences due to the emotional trauma and psychological events, you need to report them to your employer and your family doctor. Tell your attorney everything and keep looking for one that will take your case. Many will not take stress claims. Good luck.
