Q: I have shared parenting at the moment, me and my ex are going back under agreement to do a 50/50 parenting time split.

I have shared parenting at the moment, me and my ex are going back under agreement to do a 50/50 parenting time spilt. I pay child support now but that was established before I had 50/50 and before the parent time being equal. My question is can I get my support lower I am also married now and have a step child if that matters. All of this has changed since the original order was giving (so what are my chances of getting my support lowered ?) bases on ur experience

A: You might be able to get it lowered, but it depends on all the financial circumstances of you and your ex. Ohio uses a worksheet to determine child support as a starting point, but that worksheet calculation amount can be adjusted based on specific circumstances. Talk to the attorney who handled your divorce or use the Find a Lawyer tab to consult a local family law attorney to help you and give you the best chance for success.
