Q: My son father filed legitimation against me in a county i no longer live in. And he doesn't live in that county as well.

He stays in cobb county ga and filed in clayton county ga using his fathers address. At the time of my son father filing against me i lived in emanueal county ga. Can this case still proceed or be thrown out?

A: You need to file an Objection to Venue. You simply have to use the case number and parties names at the top, then state that at the time of filing you lived in Emanueal county. As a practical matter, though, if you no longer live there, would you want to keep driving back there for court?
