New Holland, PA asked in Child Custody for Pennsylvania

Q: The mother of my grandson got full custody. She wont talk to me. How do I get to visit without a lot of cost

My son missed the custody confer. They both are ordered to take a class. Her best friend works in the custody office at the courthouse. How can we find out if she took the class? When I called about visits she (the best friend) answered. What can I do to see my grandson, she moved without telling us. Which states she needs to report any moves. so lost, and no money., Help Please if you can. Thank you.

A: Your son should promptly retain an experienced custody lawyer. There is limited time to act on a relocation that occurs without permission of the other parent or leave of court. That lawyer will be able to guide him as to him rights regarding the move, a possible contempt action being brought against her for willful non-compliance, etc. You should contact an experienced custody lawyer yourself if you are interested in finding out whether you have standing to bring a grandparents' rights case. However, your son is in a much stronger position and his interest should be prioritized provided he would let you see the child on his time.
