New York, NY asked in Medical Malpractice for New York

Q: What can happen if I decide not to pay the co-pay to a doctor that lied to me about a biopsy New York, NY | May 22, 20

I went in for a biopsy for a mole , the doctor told me it was Pre-cancer but not to worry, he said I should come in once a month for check-up and I will not pay the co-pay, I found out, it is not pre-cancer not a wart, not a virus, it's nothing "seborrheic keratosis" he tried to scare me so I will come for visits, He emailed 3 times to set up an appointment, very pushy, I have it documented emails and will send him an email explaining why I am not paying, at the moment I am not notifying anyone but will forward my expatiation if he attempts to collect , what he did is unethical, What am I up against once I send the detailed email with documented dates to him. i have the email ready to send . thanks Danny

A: Not necessarily evil--could just be cautious. If you went to a visit then he can get the copay.
