Galt, CA asked in Divorce for California

Q: Me and my ex-wife have a divorce agreement but she won't go by it . Are there any repercussions for this?

We have two houses she's in the better one I'm in the other. we were supposed to figure the equity in each one subtract one from the other and split the difference to make it fair. Simple. But When she had her appraisals done, she ask the appraiser to figure the price of my house with all new flooring and upgrades that are not here, so her appraisals were very high and not right We had this divorce agreement three years ago , we got our appraisals and was supposed get the number she owed me then, and she was to payme what she owed me by the time my daughter graduates high school, but she wouldn't even talk to me About it. The divorce wasn't even supposed to be final until we had that number but the divorce some how was final Before we had the number I was shocked. Then I was left to negotiate with her which is not doable. Now we get to go to go through it again. Will she be in trouble for this?

A: If she is violating court orders, you can file a motion for contempt. If you disagree about the appraisals, you can object in court if still timely. If the case is finalized though, you might have a basis for appeal, if time remains. More details are necessary to provide a professional analysis of your issue.
