A: Depending on what the city's zoning ordinances provide, many cities do limit where and how long big rig tractors and/or trailers can be parked, and they will give citations based on what the local municipal ordinance provides. Usually, the ticket will cite the exact code section which has allegedly been violated, so that is your starting point. Look at the citation (ticket) and see what code section was written by the officer. Then you can go to the city's website and actually look up the precise municipal code section which was cited. Researching that information will likely lead you to whether the citation is proper or not.
