Lakewood, CA asked in Personal Injury for California

Q: If I was in route to a Recovery/Treatment center and picked up by a black male, no other staff, and I fell asleep and

Woke up and didn't know who he was and removed myself from the vehicle and wound up in a ditch off the frwy landed on a dead tree and broke my ribs and a partially collapsed lung, and was hospitalized for 4 days, could he be held responsible for me? My family specifically requested two people pick me up and they sent only one. My family also asked if they could drive me and he insisted I would be ok.

A: If the accident was caused by his negligence, he is responsible because he was the driver, not because there was only one person who picked you up.

You need a consultation with a PI attorney immediately. Do not speak to anyone about the collision or your injuries until you speak with an attorney. A PI attorney will work on a contingency, so there is no money up front. Many PI attorneys will come to you, so you don't have to travel. Just ask.

A: I hear no basis for liability since it seems you just jumped out of a moving car with no reasonable basis. More details are necessary to provide a professional analysis of your issue. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney. A: You may have a cause of action for negligence. Best of luck.
