Asked in Consumer Law and Products Liability

Q: How do I claim a better compensation for a default fruit juice?

I bought a fruit drink, drank out of it and found out that it was defaulted. I complained about it and that I got sick immediately and I am pregnant and It was filed with the company. I was replied that the contamination might have happened during the bottling process making the bottle the source of contamination.

I asked for a compensation and I was asked to send my address so that they can send me a hamper. I don't want a hamper but a better compensation. How do I handle it? what should I reply?

A: If you got medical care for getting sick have them pay the bill. If you needed no medical care, as long as neither you nor the child have been affected, it's a smaller case that you should be able to handle. Why not contact a member of the Association for Justice in your state--they give free consults.
