Atlanta, GA asked in Traffic Tickets for Georgia

Q: Am I still able to speak with a solicitor after I have already been to court?

I went to court for a traffic violation, and now I'm going to trial. When I spoke to the judge, I told her I did not want to speak to a solicitor. Would I still be able to call the court and ask to speak with a solicitor?

A: Yes, in terms of possible to do. Likely NO in terms of getting in touch with him or her, if not in the courtroom. Many traffic prosecutors are part time in GA, and the full time prosecutors dedicate their non-court time to watching videos, meeting with or calling back traffic ticket attorneys, and preparing for the next court calendar.

Try calling a local traffic ticket lawyer, and try to get more guidance on the alternatives you may have, other than trial. Most will speak to you for free, and quote a fee over the phone.
