Q: Is there such a thing as profiling by pharmacist?
I'm a patient with visible physical traumatic injury, who lives with chronic pain, for which I take narcotics prescribed by my pain management specialist. I've had a couple of arguments with pharmacist who has admittedly NEVER spoken to my Dr. yet she has treated me like a drug seeker. They hold refills on medication but told me they are no longer going to fill my prescriptions. Is there anything I can do about this? Is this kind of treatment of a patient permissible? Thank you.

A: If you mean can you sue them, I don't believe so. Change pharmacies, file a complaint with your state's pharmacy board.
