Q: Under what state or jurisdiction will the divorce decree belong?
We are both US Citizens (I'm dual citizen) and had our divorce agreement done outside of the country (Asia) but our divorce degree was approved in Guam. I am curious as to where I should file the modification of agreement (child support), etc? Please advice.
A: It sounds like you have children so the best place to file is where the children live. You can also file where either of the parents lives. If you have never been through the Florida court system then you should attach a copy of your divorce decree.
