Q: CPS took my son from my parents after they withheld him from me and my boyfriend & called cps with false accusations
My parents withheld my son after babysitting him, I wanted to handle things in a civil manner so I tried to talk to them about picking up my son daily. They called CPS making false accusations regarding substance abuse at which time CPS did not contact us and went to my parents to see my son. My mother in law informed me this was happening and i called to see what was going on, the worker told me to call the sheriff to be escorted to get my son but when i did the sheriff told me he had gone with cps to remove my son from my parents care. I called the worker and asked why I wasnt contacted or notified in anyway, she responded with " well now im notifying you". We went to a visitation meeting at the cps office the day before our hearing at which point the worker told us that My son was returned to my parents who have been appointed his foster parents and that we wouldnt get him back for 6 months even tho we passed the mouth swab drug test. what can i do to gain custody of my son back?
