Hurt, VA asked in Divorce for Virginia

Q: My spouse lives in the U.K.; Under VA law, can I serve him divorce papers through certified or registered mail?

I'm representing myself. No Fault Divorce with less than 2 years married with no marital assets or children. I'll be sending him a waiver of service as well.

Otherwise, when servicing the divorce papers, under Virginia Law can I serve him the papers via certified or registered mail? Or is Letters Rotary my best option? I'm looking for a way to serve him in the cheapest and fastest manner, as we both want to get it done with ASAP.

A: His acceptance and waiver are sufficient without more.

You could email him a PDF of the acceptance/waiver. He files the signed original with the court. You move to the next step.
