Q: If i was sold a used car by individual and car had major issues and title was forged by owner boyfriend

Son purchased used car for $1850 which he found on local Craigslist the car was supposedly good running no damage as listed we bought and next day car had issues we noticed and also professional mechanics. We made aware to guy who sold it he then told us nothing he would do to make right keep in mind he sold car also signed title under his girlfriend name which title is in . I think that should void sale??

A: Your son can probably sue in small claims court to get his money back.

If I were the judge I would want to know what evidence you have that the signature on the title was forged. If your son knew it at the time, the "forged title" theory wouldn't probably work, but it does appear that there may be a breach of an implied warranty (unless sold "as is").
