Q: Can my chiro contact me in 2017 for payment on 2015 visits even though i am 100% sure my insurance would have covered it

hello- i have a chiro claiming me my 2015 visits wouldn't go through to insurance although i saw other chiros during a few year span with the same insurance that were 100% covered, i never paid $1 as i had really good PPO. He asked me for my new insurance in 2016 which i provided him and I guess he never billed it to them because now it's 2017 and he's asking me for updated insurance. I don't feel comfortable providing it to him as i'm not sure why he never billed it in 2015. I called multiple times myself to speak with Aetna and they said it is covered, have them resubmit... am I still responsible for the 2015 visits that weren't reimbursed by insurance?

A: That sounds like you may be liable for such, indeed. See: http://www.courts.ca.gov/9618.htm
