Conroe, TX asked in Consumer Law and Real Estate Law for Texas

Q: We purchased a home in April. Inspection only showed minor issues but it is August ruined. What do we do?

The inspection showed a few minor repairs to the porches, a few vent covers needing replacement and a minor crack in ceiling. It is a mobile home.

Since moving in May we have had the subfloors become weak under the bathrooms, kitchen, living areas and a bedroom.

The ceiling is caving in and leaking in living room, two major external walls are somehow leaking and the drywall in three rooms is soft and molding from the damage.

We have found under the house a massive "puddle" that does not drain out. The house is making my children ill. The floor has made my son fall through the vent in the bathroom just today.

My husband and I spent every dime we have on this house. The house is a disaster. It gives us anxiety attacks, asthma and allergic reaction to the mold and mildews.

I don't know how to either fix my house or get out of my mortgage because we may have to move into a one bedroom apartment for us four to live and it is against the law to do so but I am sick

A: These types of sales are only as good as the contract, so you need to look there, for any warranties. If you had the right of inspection, you may have no rights.

Call this law firm. Focus on the hazardous mold and air quality, to see if you have recourse.
