Q: Can a mother who is the custodial parent move and leave her child to live with her grandparents instead of her father?
My boyfriend has joint custody of his daughter. His ex has never actually taken care of their daughter she relies on her parents and comes and goes as she pleases yet would never allow my boyfriend to be her caretaker instead. She has never had a steady job and she recently moved with her boyfriend but is having her daughter stay living with her parents. Her father has a stable steady income and we have a healthy loving home life and she also has a half brother at our home i don't see this as possibly being legal for her to just leave her daughter in her parents custody while she lives somewhere else
