Cranford, NJ asked in Divorce and Family Law for New Jersey

Q: I can't provide a home for my child even though I have a job. So I live with my parent's can the other party use that.

Can that be used in a custody against me? The other party rents an apartment 2 bedroom for the child. I live with my parent's can't afford one and the child has his own room in the house. Lots of room to play and run around. Also does that constitute that I'm alianating this child because the child spend a lot of time with the grandparents?

A: This is not a basis for a change of custody, although more information would be required to know for certain. If you are worried, you should consult with an experienced matrimonial attorney.
