Kalamazoo, MI asked in Child Custody for Michigan

Q: CPS, Meth, neglect, child abuse, history of drug addiction, and parental alienation

Youngest daughter was born positive for meth, aderol, and THC. CPS removed wife from home, both kids went to me. She was allowed supervised visitations. 1 year later the case closed and we reconciled. She immediately started using drugs again and neglecting the children. I have proof from nanny cams and facebook posts, also messages confirming neglect and mental illness. I asked her to leave after the last time I caught her with another man doing drugs in the bedroom. She left the children with me. I filed for divorce and emergency custody. She hadn't seen them for over a month so I told her as long as she was at her grandmothers (original CPS supervisor) that I would drop them off for a few days. She then told me I wouldn't see them again until the court date. She blocked me, and will not return my phone calls or certified letters. My hearing is on monday. She is telling people I lost custody and that I am harassing her and that I beat her up (all not true). Chances of sole cust?

A: I don't wager on child custody, and neither do family court judges. But it does sound like you have a strong case for custody in general.

Do you already have a temporary custody order, or is this Monday's hearing to determine that?
