Asked in Child Support for Georgia

Q: NCP owes over 28,000 in arrears. CSS has a warrant issued , but when arrested he still doesn't pay and is freed anyway.

There is a child support case. He owes over 28,000 in arrears. When he is arrested he spends 30 days in jail and no payment and is freed. Still doesnt pay. The process starts over, 6 months later another warrant, takes them 4-6 months to track him down and then he will spend another 30 days in jail and then free with no payment. This has been going on for 14 years. He doesnt see her , has never even met her. . What can I do to get CSS to do something....he hasnt paid a penny is years. And when I call they give me vague answers.

A: You will probably need a private attorney to get results. He can be ordered to jail and only released once he makes a lump sum payment.
